AVX employees “Take 5” to view the solar eclipse.
The clouds broke for several minutes in Benbrook, TX on April 8th allowing AVX employees to enjoy this once in a lifetime view of a total solar eclipse.
We noticed the skies turning gray and folks were heading outside to view this amazing phenomenon where the moon was in perfect alignment with the sun here in the DFW area. This is the first such eclipse in the Dallas area since 1878 with the next one scheduled to occur in 2317. The 2024 eclipse lasted for several minutes and evoked a wide range of emotions from the crowd gathered outside the AVX office.
