Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday (9-80 work schedule, every other Friday off)

Position Overview:

As a pivotal member of AVX Aircraft Company’s Business Development team, the Capture Manager will drive strategic captures for our Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) business segment. This results-oriented position focuses on achieving key objectives of generating new business and developing innovative revenue streams. The role is essential for leading all aspects of campaign capture, from identifying opportunities and developing pipelines to executing marketing and strategic capture efforts.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships across military market segments, prospect new opportunities, and deliver technical briefings to a range of customers with a focus on revenue generation.
  • Strategic Campaign Development: Lead the creation and execution of strategic campaigns, including market assessments, competitive analysis, customer mapping, investment analysis, and action plan tracking, all aimed at capturing new business.
  • Proposal and Strategy Development: Create technical white papers, win/pricing strategies, and oversee generation of competitive proposals that align with revenue goals.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Sr. Vice President of the UAS business segment to support aggressive growth targets. Develop and cultivate relationships and partnerships across industry and academia to advance AVX UAS business and drive new revenue streams.
  • Market Focus: Primarily focus on military business development while also considering and pursuing non-DoD and commercial UAS opportunities to broaden the revenue base.
  • Marketing and Outreach: Manage marketing campaigns, including trade shows, advertising, and social media, to promote AVX unmanned systems to military customers, enhancing visibility and driving new business opportunities.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years in military aviation (as a pilot, maintainer, or engineer) with a preference for UAS experience. At least 10 years in business development with 5 years in campaign capture, demonstrating success in capturing new business and generating revenue.
  • Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Capable of working under pressure, meeting deadlines, and maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently, manage assignments from start to finish, and travel up to 50%.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform essential job functions in compliance with ADA, FMLA, and other relevant standards, including meeting productivity standards.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both in person and on the phone.
